#1 Mother Wounds Speaker & Author!

Your Healing Can’t Start Until You Check the Roots

You’ve done the work above ground, but true healing starts at the root of your pain. Now it’s time to go deeper than what survival has taught you.

Root Work Isn’t About the Fruit. It’s About the Foundation.

A Story That Might Sound Like Yours...

I thought I left it behind when I grew up, but I carried that wound into everything—my work, my friendships, my faith, and my relationships.

I smiled through disappointment.

Met expectations that crushed me.

Overachieved to avoid feeling unworthy.

Then, I became a mother, and everything I buried rose to the surface.

All the questions I never asked.

All the love I never felt.

All the softness I had to teach myself just to parent from a place of peace.

Becoming a mother made it clear...I couldn’t raise someone in love while still grieving the love I never received.

I had to heal.

Not just for my child but for me.

I couldn’t keep bleeding from invisible wounds and calling it strength.

I had to stop performing.

I had to start telling the truth.

That’s where this journey was born.

DO YOUR ROOTS NEED WORK?

Before you heal, you have to check what’s been buried.

This isn’t about what’s visible.

It’s about what’s underneath—unseen, unhealed, and still shaping you.

Ask yourself?

→ Do you constantly overperform to feel “enough”?

→ Were your emotional needs downplayed, dismissed, or ignored?

→ Do you feel guilty for expressing pain—especially about your past?

→ Have you built strength on top of silence, just to keep peace?

→ Do you trust God but still struggle to feel emotionally safe with Him?

→ Does your body feel stuck in defense mode, even when life is “good”?

→ Do your relationships feel like mirrors of the love you didn’t get?

→ Are you tired of doing “the work” but still feeling unseen?

If you said yes to more than one…Your root system may be damaged.

And that damage didn’t start with you, but healing can.

This is what Root Work is about:
✔️ Naming the pain
✔️ Grieving the truth
✔️ Reclaiming your emotional, spiritual, and generational safety

It’s not about fixing what’s on the surface.

It’s about restoring what lives beneath it.

WHAT IS ROOT WORK?

We’re taught to focus on the fruit...

Your career.

Your relationships.

Your image.

Your achievements.

But when the fruit keeps coming up bitter—when the trunk feels cracked, and the leaves keep falling—you don’t need to try harder.

You need to go underground.

Root work is the sacred process of healing what lives beneath the surface.

It’s where you confront what you were taught not to feel.
It’s where you grieve the mother you needed but never had.
It’s where you stop trying to fix the outside and finally restore what’s been buried on the inside.

Root work is for the woman who

→ Was emotionally starved but told she was “too sensitive”

→ Feels guilt for even acknowledging her pain

→ Learned to perform strength instead of receiving support

→ Can’t pray her way past the abandonment

→ Still feels 8 years old inside when she’s triggered

It’s for the daughter who still protects the woman who never protected her.

And yet—Root work isn’t about blame.

It’s about reclaiming your emotional, spiritual, and generational healing.

✔️ It’s grieving and still loving.
✔️ It’s honoring God and telling the truth.
✔️ It’s letting yourself finally be nurtured the way you never were.

I created this space because I’ve done the root work myself.

I’ve survived death, domestic violence, childhood trauma, poverty, and divorce.

And through every breakdown, I discovered this truth...You can’t bear good fruit from broken roots, but you can restore what was damaged.

You can rebuild what was neglected.

You can grow again—from the inside out.

Do The Root Work™️ helps women break free from the wounds their mothers caused, stop carrying what their mothers never gave, and start growing the roots God planted in them—so they can stop shrinking, start healing, and live rooted in truth.

Because around here, we heal.

Who This Is For

(And Who It Isn’t)

If you’ve ever thought…

“Why do I still crave her validation?“

Why do I keep overachieving and still feel unseen?”

“Why does Mother’s Day make me feel broken?”

“Why can’t I forgive her even when I try?”

“Why am I the first to choose healing in my family?”

You are not too much.

You are not too broken.

And you are not alone anymore.

This is for you if...
✔️ You’re ready to stop hiding behind success and start healing what’s beneath it
✔️ You’ve carried mother wounds you haven’t named—but can feel
✔️ You want a safe space to cry, be held, and begin again
✔️ You want tools—not just talk

This is not for you if...
🚫 You’re looking for a surface-level feel-good moment with no depth
🚫 You’re unwilling to be honest with yourself
🚫 You don’t want to sit with real emotions or be challenged toward wholeness

Your Root Guide + Strategist on This Healing Journey

Jeanille “Rocky” Rockett

I’m not a therapist. I’m not a perfect mother.

I’m a woman who had to Conquer My Ish—the silence, the overachieving, the pain of not being seen by the one person who should’ve seen me most.

For most of my life, I played the strong one. I did everything right—excelled in school, showed up for everyone, smiled through the ache—hoping it would make me feel worthy. But it didn’t.

It wasn’t until I became a mother that I realized: I couldn’t raise someone in love while still grieving the love I never received.

I had to heal. For me, my child, and the legacy I wanted to build.

That’s why I created Mama, You Don’t Make Me Feel Worthy—a journal for women like me. The ones carrying pain no one claps for. The ones ready to tell the truth, reclaim their voice, and finally Conquer Their Ish—with faith, honesty, and emotional freedom.

Healing is hard. But hiding is harder. You don’t have to do either alone anymore. I’m living proof that healing is possible—even if you have to be the first in your family to choose it.

It's time to Conquer Your Ish®️.

Book Me to Speak

(Signature talks)

Rooted From Within

This talk uncovers how your emotional and spiritual foundation—often formed in childhood through your relationship with your mother—continues to impact how you show up today. From leadership decisions to relationship dynamics to your ability to trust God, this session walks participants through the invisible beliefs and survival patterns that shaped them, and shows them how to begin doing the internal “root work” needed for lasting growth and spiritual restoration.

Grieving Starts at the Root

This talk addresses the complicated grief that comes from having a mother who wasn’t emotionally safe, nurturing, or present in the ways you needed. Whether your mother is still living or not, grieving the mother you didn’t get is often the spiritual turning point you didn’t know you needed. This session walks participants through the permission to mourn, the process of naming the loss, and how grief becomes the doorway to emotional restoration and renewed spiritual clarity.

The Root Between Us

This talk explores how mother wounds can disrupt the way you communicate with God—how you pray, what you expect, how you listen, and whether you even feel safe enough to be honest with Him. When your first emotional blueprint taught you that love was inconsistent, unsafe, or silent, it becomes difficult to build intimacy with a God you were wired not to trust. This session guides participants through the process of identifying that interference and restoring clear, open communication with God.

What People Are Saying!

I didn’t know how much I was still carrying until I started journaling through the prompts. This was the first time I gave myself permission to grieve my mother without guilt

This book cracked something wide open in me. I cried, I wrestled, I prayed—and for once, I didn’t shrink. I just let it come up. And it changed me.

I gave my daughter a copy of the book. She said it helped her understand me better. That alone made it worth it.

While I don't have mother wounds, I resonated so much with the relationship with God that I'm missing and the performance nature of it that has kept Him and me at a distance. I need to read those parts again because I definitely have the mentality that when I fix myself and present myself as worthy, then I approach the Father, but He never does say that, as you pointed out.
